South Africa has been recommended to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup forward of Ireland and France, the tournament’s setting up board has introduced.
The World Rugby Council will now meet on 15 November in London to vote at the subsequent host.
The board made its advice following detailed attention of the host candidate analysis record.
Ireland has vowed to “compete to the final minute”, including “nothing in the report is insurmountable”.
“We absolutely believe Ireland can secure the tournament for 2023,” stated Dick Spring, chairman of Ireland’s 2023 bid oversight board.
“It is obvious that the analysis fee is inspired by way of the standard and element of the bid put ahead on behalf of Ireland.
“It may be transparent from the record that Ireland has the entire features to host an excellent Rugby World Cup in 2023.”
