A Detroit TV station reported Wednesday night that Rep. John Conyers Jr. will not run for re-election in 2018.
However, the Michigan Democrat will not surrender from his seat ahead of then, as increasingly more his colleagues are difficult, in keeping with Detroit NBC associate WDIV-TV, channel four.
“Two sources close to the Conyers situation told Local 4’s Rod Meloni that the congressman won’t resign. It’s his intent to announce in January that he won’t run for re-election in 2018,” the station wrote.
Mr. Conyers has denied the costs.
