Philip Pullman’s newest novel, during which he returned to the international of His Dark Materials, has been named the highest guide of 2017 by means of guide chain Waterstones.
La Belle Sauvage used to be printed in October, 17 years after he completed the His Dark Materials trilogy.
Waterstones group of workers nominated books they discovered “truly outstanding and which they have felt most pride in recommending and selling”.
Pullman mentioned he used to be “very happy” to be given a prize given by means of a bookseller.

La Belle Sauvage is the first instalment in a brand new trilogy, which Pullman has described as an “equel” to His Dark Materials.
